As a result of Reza Shah’s enthronement and his attention to the modernization project, the women whose activities were in line with the program of the ruling government were encouraged. The government even used schools for implementing its cultural program regarding women. This study sought to analyze and explicate the role of girls’ schools of Mashhad in advancing the women's movement. Using documents and newspapers, it tried to answer the question: What role the girls’ schools of Mashhad played in Reza Shah’s government in advancing the women's movement and the presence of women in the social arena? The results show that the schools played a significant role in awareness of women and their presence in society by providing trainings about health, housekeeping, and child caring. Other related activities were lecturing about the benefits of removing hijab, making women familiar with the activities of female students, establishing charity associations for empowering the needy women and children. یکی از زمینه ­های موردتوجه فعالان حقوق زنان پس از مشروطه، آگاه‌سازی زنان جامعه و تشویق آنان به حضور در اجتماع بود. با روی کار آمدن رضاشاه و توجه او به تکمیل پروژه مدرنیزاسیون، آن دسته از فعالیت‌های زنان که با برنامه ­های دولتی هم­خوانی داشت، مورد تشویق قرار گرفت و حتی دولت برای پیشبرد اهداف فرهنگی­اش در حیطه زنان از مدارس استفاده کرد. بر این اساس، پژوهش حاضر به دنبال تبیین و تحلیل چگونگی ایفای نقش مدارس دخترانه مشهد در پیشبرد نهضت زنان است و با استفاده از اسناد و روزنامه­ها، سعی می­کند به این پرسش پاسخ دهد که مدارس دخترانه مشهد در عصر رضاشاه چه نقشی در پیشبرد نهضت زنان و حضور زنان در صحنه اجتماع داشتند؟ یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که مدارس مزبور، با ارائه آموزش­های بهداشتی، خانه­داری، کودک­پروری، ایراد سخنرانی در فواید کشف حجاب، آشناسازی زنان با فعالیت‌های دختران محصل و راه­اندازی انجمن­های خیریه برای کمک به زنان و کودکان نیازمند در جهت آگاهی زنان و حضور بیش­تر آنان در جامعه ایفای نقش کردند. https://docs.aqr-libjournal.ir/article_155360_1413d4a67c83fe9bf359ef8a9002e95b.pdf
